Step-Mothers have always been unfairly tagged as the "wicked step-mother".  Not too often does one hear good things about them.  In my opinion there are more good Step-Mothers than bad!

Consider the position they are placed in;  the other woman in the children's life.  Right from day one this woman is labelled and hated by the father's children.  His ex-wife is often the one encouraging their children to reject this woman.  I was in this position myself and was encouraged not to accept this Step-Mother by my own Mother.

I am not one to judge a book by it's cover, so I approached the situation with an open mind and decided that since this woman was my Father's new wife, the least I could do was get to know her and feel her out so to speak.

Well I am happy to say that she turned out to be a very good friend to me.  We had a  lot in common and she showed more understanding towards me than my own Mother.  I could talk over things with her that I could not talk to my Mother about.

They had three children of their own and I welcomed having a younger sister and two more brothers as it had been just my brother and I till then.  My little sister and I have grown very close and she now has three children of her own which I adore.  Since both my Mother & Father have passed on, it feels good to know that I have a Step-Mother and sister.  No matter what your age, a woman always needs a mother.

Since the passing of my own Mother, I have had been showered with love from my Step-Mother and sister.  It feels good to know that I have a wonderful woman with whom I know I can talk to about anything and she is always there for me.

She is the best person to ever come into my life.  I could fill this page about all she has done for me.
