The background is the Lion's Gate Bridge facing towards the North Shore where we live. The North Shore consists of two smaller cities, West Vancouver and North Vancouver. North Vancouver is up hill all the way! It is on the side of Grouse Mountain, while West Vancouver is on Hollyburn Mountain. Our climate is mild all year, except for a few days in the winter when we may catch the occassional cold spell that drifts in our way. We rarely get snow and when we do it melts within a day or two.

There are many places to visit here; Capilano Suspension Bridge; Park & Tillford Gardens; three mountains for hiking or skiing, Seymor, Grouse & Hollyburn. Whistler famous for its skiing is not far from North Vancouver.

A lot of movies and TV shows have been and still are being made in North Vancouver. The Xfiles was made here till it's last 2 seasons. Regular weekly series currently being made in both Vancouver and North Vancouver are: Dvinci's Inquest and Cold Squad. Alliance Atlantis is very busy making series and movies.
